The Magical Preschool Teacher 🪄
I'm so excited to be opening up my children's podcast finally! It's been many months in the making, and I had a blast creating these episodes. I hope you all will enjoy them.
First, let me explain a little about myself. My name is Ms. Shelli, I am a preschool teacher and a fantasy creative writer, and I have been for a long time. My first creative writing project was a children's book, which I later turned into a short animation. After that, I wrote a few young adult fantasy series. Writing has always been a passion of mine.
As of 2023, I started creating virtual learning programs for children and also conduct a few creative writing workshops. While I enjoy writing, I also love working with children, so I made a podcast for young kids. This podcast allows me to continue being creative while teaching young minds in a fun, magical way.
My degree and background are in Early Childhood Education; however, I have worked with children of all ages. There is something I absolutely adore about working with preschoolers. That age range is so lively, curious, and eager to learn. I love seeing their faces and hearing their comments after reading a story or playing a creative game.
The youth are our future, and starting early in teaching positive social-emotional skills, building confidence, and developing creative skills helps inspire a generation of positive youth who navigate the world with emotional intelligence.
Why A Magical Children's Podcast 🎙️
I am here to help create an environment where young children can thrive and use their imagination to the fullest, free from social media demands and excessive screen time. Don't get me wrong; I believe in online learning and using educational platforms to enhance learning concepts. Also, watching fun and entertaining videos. However, as a mother and teacher, I have observed how much cellphones and other devices are overused, often distracting young minds, which can diminish the importance of creative play and outdoor activities. I want to provide a balance in a world heavily reliant on technology, not to remove it, but to offer children alternative, creative options.
Teaching Education Through Magic ✨
My teaching method is calm, fun, and engaging. I help children identify their potential and develop a stronger imagination. I focus on social-emotional development and age-appropriate life skills. My audio podcast consists of episodes that generally include three key elements: a magical topic or circle time, a supporting magical story, and creative play. I also provide printouts for members to accompany each episode and projects that children can do at home.
The audio classes are simple to follow, won't take up much of parents' time, and will give children something to look forward to each week. All episodes will stream on Patreon and can be downloaded for offline use, making learning accessible anytime, anywhere. I also considered parents without internet access or printers; you can use a local library to download the episodes and print the materials.
